Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings

However, playing the original game provides essential context for Vaan and Penelo's journey as sky pirates. The story takes place immediately after the events of the first game.

Unlike the traditional RPG mechanics of its predecessor, "Revenant Wings" is a real-time strategy game developed for the Nintendo DS. Players use the stylus to control Vaan, Penelo, and summoned monsters called Espers. The gameplay involves tactical battles across the floating continent of Lemurés.

The game was co-developed by Square Enix and Think & Feel for the Nintendo DS. It was released in Japan in 2007. The development team aimed to adapt the original game's mechanics into a more approachable RTS format for handheld consoles.
