2012: Supernova is a 2009 American science-fiction disaster film directed by Anthony Fankhauser and released by The Asylum as a direct-to-video title. Its story follows an astrophysicist who develops a plan to protect Earth from radiation produced by an unstable star in a nearby galaxy, with Brian Krause, Heather McComb, and Najarra Townsend in leading roles. It is the second film in The Asylum's 2012 trilogy, although the films are not narratively connected, following 2012: Doomsday and preceding 2012: Ice Age.
