Bell Common

description Bell Common Overview

Bell Common is a historic common and area of heathland at Epping in Essex, England. It forms part of Epping Forest, the woodland and open-land landscape north-east of London. A major modern transport feature distinguishes the site: the M25 motorway passes through a tunnel constructed beneath the common. Bell Common therefore combines open land with infrastructure hidden below the surface.
