Black Medick

description Black Medick Overview

Black medick, Medicago lupulina, is a small legume native to Eurasia and now naturalized in many other parts of the world. It usually grows as a low, spreading annual or biennial plant in grassland, roadsides, lawns, and disturbed ground. The plant produces small yellow flower clusters and later forms dark, kidney-shaped seed pods, which distinguish it from many related clovers and medicks.
