Bourne Bridge

description Bourne Bridge Overview

The Bourne Bridge is a highway bridge across the Cape Cod Canal in Massachusetts. Built in the 1930s and opened in 1935, it is a steel Warren through-truss structure with a central arch-truss span designed to provide clearance for vessels using the canal. The bridge carries Route 28 between the mainland town of Bourne and Cape Cod and is one of the two main road crossings of the canal, alongside the Sagamore Bridge.
