description Caledon River Overview

The Caledon River is a major tributary of the Orange River in southern Africa. It rises in the Lesotho highlands, flows for approximately 480 kilometres along much of the boundary between Lesotho and South Africa's Free State province, and joins the Orange near Wepener. Its basin includes agricultural land and is affected by seasonal rainfall and water-management demands.
