Camalot

Camalot is in Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado, an area known for difficult high-altitude bouldering. Access and seasonal conditions should be checked with current park guidance before visiting.

American climber Daniel Woods established the problem. Woods is closely associated with elite bouldering in Colorado and with numerous problems at the upper end of the grading scale.

V14 corresponds approximately to 8B+ on the Fontainebleau scale and marks an exceptionally difficult boulder problem. The grade assumes advanced power, precision, and experience rather than ordinary recreational climbing ability.

The boulder problem shares the recognizable name, but it is a fixed rock climb completed without placing a set of camming devices as protection. Like other boulder problems, it is attempted close enough to the ground for climbers to use pads and spotters instead of a rope.
