description Candy Land Overview

Candy Land is a children's board game created by Eleanor Abbott in 1948 and first published by Milton Bradley. Players race along a winding colored path toward the finish, drawing cards that dictate their moves, so the game requires no reading and only basic color recognition. It was originally devised in part to entertain children recovering from polio and became one of the best-selling children's board games in the United States.
