description Chain Shot! Overview

Chain Shot! is a Japanese computer puzzle game created by Kuniaki Moribe and released in 1985. It is recognized as the original form of the later SameGame design: players remove connected groups of blocks sharing a color, after which remaining blocks fall and empty columns close. Source code for versions targeting FM-7, FM-8, PC-8801, and PC-9801 computers appeared in the November 1985 issue of Monthly ASCII.
