description Chancia Overview
Chancia is an extinct genus of Middle Cambrian trilobites classified in the order Ptychopariida and the family Alokistocaridae. Its type species, Chancia ebdome, is from the Glossopleura walcotti Zone of the Spence Shale in Idaho, and other species are recorded from western North America, including British Columbia, Utah, Vermont, and Newfoundland.
