Christopher Luxon is a New Zealand politician who became Prime Minister in November 2023 after leading the centre-right National Party to victory in that year's general election, governing in coalition with ACT and New Zealand First. Before politics he was a business executive, serving as CEO of Air New Zealand from 2012 to 2019 following a career at Unilever. He entered Parliament in 2020 as MP for Botany and took over the National Party leadership in 2021.
