Clapton Mill

description Clapton Mill Overview

Clapton Mill is a former water-driven flour mill in the hamlet of Clapton near West Crewkerne in Somerset, England. The existing building dates from the eighteenth century and was extensively rebuilt in 1864, while an earlier mill stood on the site in medieval times. The mill and its aqueduct are designated Grade II* listed structures because they retain machinery associated with the nineteenth-century rebuilding and document the area's rural milling history.
