description Dawngate Overview
Dawngate was a multiplayer online battle arena game developed by Waystone Games and published by Electronic Arts for Microsoft Windows. During its 2014 open beta, players controlled Shapers in team matches on a two-lane map with a large jungle, Spirit Wells, and a role system that allowed a character's function to be chosen separately from the character itself. The game emphasized an evolving narrative called Living Lore, but EA stopped development in November 2014 and closed the beta after a further operating period.
