Die Hard Trilogy

Die Hard Trilogy is unique because it is actually three distinct games in one, each adapting a movie with a completely different gameplay genre. The first game is a third-person action shooter, the second is a rail shooter utilizing light gun mechanics, and the third is a frantic driving game. This gave players incredible variety for a single title.

The game was published by Fox Interactive and released on the original PlayStation, Sega Saturn, and PC. Developed by Probe Entertainment, it was a massive commercial hit in the mid-1990s. It took full advantage of the 32-bit era's capabilities for 3D graphics and fast-paced gameplay.

While the Die Hard 2 segment of the game is designed as an arcade-style rail shooter, it does not strictly require a light gun peripheral. Players can use a standard controller to aim and shoot, but using a compatible light gun on the PlayStation or Saturn enhances the arcade experience significantly.

Die Hard Trilogy was developed by Probe Entertainment and published by Fox Interactive in 1996. Probe was well known in the 1990s for developing high-quality ports and movie tie-in games for various consoles. The game successfully captures the explosive action of Bruce Willis's John McClane across all three films.
