Epitheca semiaquea, commonly called the Mantled Baskettail, is a dragonfly species in the family Corduliidae, a group often known as emeralds. It is native to parts of the eastern United States and is associated with ponds, lakes, and other still or slow-moving freshwater habitats. Hermann Burmeister formally described the species in 1839, and its aquatic larvae develop before the adults emerge as flying predators.
