Exit Cave

description Exit Cave Overview

Exit Cave is a large limestone cave system in southern Tasmania, Australia, within the Ida Bay karst area. Its surveyed passages extend for more than 20 kilometers and include extensive dry chambers, active streamways, sediments, and delicate mineral formations. The system is important to cavers and karst researchers because of its scale, geological record, and connections with surrounding underground drainage, while access to sensitive areas is managed to protect vulnerable cave environments.
