Fangirl is a 2013 coming-of-age novel by American author Rainbow Rowell. It follows Cath Avery during her first year at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as she adjusts to living apart from her twin sister, develops new relationships, studies creative writing, and continues producing popular fan fiction about the fictional magician Simon Snow.
