Firni

description Firni Overview

Firni, also known as phirni, is a traditional South Asian rice pudding made by simmering coarsely ground rice in sweetened milk. The dessert is commonly flavored with green cardamom, saffron, and rose water, and is often garnished with chopped nuts such as pistachios or almonds. Unlike whole-grain rice puddings like kheer, firni is ground into a smooth paste and traditionally served chilled in small, shallow earthenware bowls that absorb excess moisture.
