description Hauyne Overview

Hauyne is a rare feldspathoid tectosilicate mineral in the sodalite group, typically found in silica-undersaturated volcanic rocks. Its color ranges from blue to blue-green, and transparent crystals can be cut as gemstones, although most specimens are collected as minerals.
