description H.R. Mill Overview

Hugh Robert Mill (1861-1950) was a British geographer and meteorologist whose work connected physical geography, rainfall measurement, and geographical education. He served as librarian of the Royal Geographical Society from 1892 to 1900, later directed the British Rainfall Organization from 1901 to 1919, and edited British Rainfall. He also held leadership roles in the Royal Meteorological Society and contributed to organizing British Antarctic expeditions.
