Icon is a 1996 political thriller by Frederick Forsyth set in post-Soviet Russia. After Western intelligence obtains a secret manifesto associated with ultranationalist presidential candidate Igor Komarov, former CIA officer Jason Monk is recruited to obstruct his rise to power. The novel combines election politics, clandestine operations, and the threat of authoritarian and antisemitic violence.
