Jamboree

Jamboree is a large, oblong watermelon cultivar that produces substantial fruit significantly bigger than icebox varieties, consistent with commercial-scale Charleston Gray-type watermelons. Its striped rind encloses sweet red flesh, and it is bred for high-yield performance.

Jamboree is a hybrid watermelon cultivar developed for commercial production, offering consistent fruit quality and high yields. Like many modern hybrids, it is bred to combine desirable traits such as disease resistance and uniform fruit size.

Jamboree performs best in warm-season growing conditions with full sun, well-drained soil, and adequate spacing for its large vines. It is suitable for both commercial fields and larger home garden plots where space allows for sprawling growth.

Both Jamboree and Charleston Gray are large oblong watermelons with sweet red flesh, but Jamboree was bred with a focus on high-yield commercial performance and disease resistance. Jamboree's striped rind also differs visually from Charleston Gray's lighter, grayish-green rind pattern.
