description Jen Overview
Jen is the male Gelfling protagonist of The Dark Crystal, the 1982 fantasy film directed by Jim Henson and Frank Oz. Raised by the peaceful urRu, also called Mystics, he is sent to recover a missing shard and restore the damaged Crystal before a celestial conjunction. Jen is performed as a creature puppet within the film's entirely nonhuman cast, and his journey brings him together with Kira against the ruling Skeksis.
