Maximummer

description Maximummer Overview

Maximummer is a fairy-chess condition that changes how one side selects a move without changing the ordinary chessboard or pieces. On Black's turn, the legal move with the greatest geometric distance between its starting and ending squares must be played; the distance is measured on the board rather than by the value of the piece or the number of captured pieces. White's moves are not subject to this maximum-distance requirement unless a specific problem states another rule.
