The Orinoco Piculet (Picumnus pumilus) is a very small woodpecker in the piculet subfamily, about 9 cm long. It occurs in eastern Colombia, southern Venezuela, and northwestern Brazil, where it is associated with humid lowland forest, forest edges, gallery woodland, and thickets. Its brownish-green upperparts contrast with pale yellowish or buff underparts marked by dark bars, and males have yellow spots on the forehead.
