description Pelmo Overview
Pelmo, also called Monte Pelmo, is a 3,168-metre mountain in the eastern Dolomites of northeastern Italy, between the valleys of the Cordevole and the Boite. The massif consists of two large rock blocks separated by a mountain pass and includes a small glacier. Its summit was first reached by the mountaineer John Ball on 19 September 1857, an ascent associated with the early development of alpinism in the Eastern Alps.
