Phasmophobia

Phasmophobia uses voice recognition so that the ghost can actually hear players speaking through their microphones, responding to specific keywords or becoming agitated when provoked. Asking questions like 'Where are you?' or using a Spirit Box with your voice are core mechanics for gathering evidence. The ghost will also react to hearing its own name if you discover it from an Ouija Board or ghost writing.

Phasmophobia can be played solo, and the game is fully functional as a single-player experience. However, playing alone is significantly more difficult and terrifying because you must manage all evidence-gathering equipment yourself while monitoring the ghost's behavior and sanity simultaneously. Many players find solo runs to be the most intense way to experience the game.

Players use tools such as the EMF Reader (to detect electromagnetic fluctuations), the Spirit Box (to hear ghost responses), the Ghost Writing Book (to capture written evidence), the Thermometer (to find freezing temperatures), the UV Light or Glowstick (to reveal ghost fingerprints), and a Video Camera (to spot ghost orbs or D.O.T.S. projections). Each of the ghost types in the game provides a unique combination of three evidence types that you must match to your ghost journal.
