description Phi-Phi Overview

Phi-Phi is a French light operetta in three acts, with music by Henri Christiné and a libretto by Albert Willemetz and Fabien Solar. It premiered at Paris's Théâtre des Bouffes-Parisiens in November 1918, shortly after the Armistice. Set in the world of the ancient Greek sculptor Phidias, the comedy uses characters and situations drawn from classical mythology while presenting them in a modern French theatrical style.
