AC charging is intended for slower top-ups, while DC rapid and ultra-rapid charging can shorten highway stops. Shell says 150 kW or faster sites can take many cars from 20% to 80% in about 30 minutes under ideal conditions, but the vehicle's battery and temperature control the real speed.
