help Sitechecker FAQ

Does Sitechecker use Google PageSpeed Insights or its own speed score?

Sitechecker’s Website Speed Test is powered by the Google PageSpeed Insights API and gives a 0 to 100 score for desktop and mobile. It also reports FCP, FID, LCP, and CLS, so the individual metrics matter more than the single score.

Can Sitechecker test a whole domain or only one URL?

It can test a specific page or start a domain audit. Sitechecker describes its wider audit as checking more than 300 SEO issues, including page speed, links, indexability, and security.

Does Sitechecker test mobile and desktop separately?

Yes, its speed test provides separate desktop and mobile results. The Sitechecker Chrome extension can also show both PageSpeed scores for the page currently open in Chrome.

What do LCP and FID in Sitechecker’s report actually tell me?

LCP measures when the main page content becomes visible, while FID measures the delay before the page responds to a user’s first interaction; CLS measures layout movement. Google’s current Core Web Vitals use INP instead of FID, so check which metric version an older report uses.
