description Solarium Overview
Solarium was an obsolete constellation proposed by the British celestial cartographer Alexander Jamieson in his 1822 atlas, A Celestial Atlas. The figure represented a sundial and appeared as an alternative constellation on Jamieson's map. It was not adopted by the International Astronomical Union's modern list of 88 constellations, so the name has no official astronomical status today.
