Sundiver

description Sundiver Overview

Sundiver is a 1980 science fiction novel by American writer David Brin and the first published book set in his Uplift universe. The story follows an expedition into the Sun after evidence suggests that intelligent beings may inhabit its outer layers, combining scientific investigation, mystery, and conflict among humans and extraterrestrial species. It introduces a setting in which most spacefaring species were raised to intelligence by older patron races, while humanity appears to have developed without one.
