T-Ball

description T-Ball Overview

T-Ball is an introductory form of baseball in which a batter strikes a stationary ball from a batting tee rather than facing a pitched ball. The organized youth format was developed in Albion, Michigan, by recreation coach Jerry Sacharski in 1956 to teach children basic throwing, catching, batting, and base running in a safer setting. It is designed for beginners, especially young players learning baseball rules and movement before progressing to pitched-ball play.
