Table bagatelle

description Table bagatelle Overview

Table bagatelle is a tabletop form of bagatelle, an indoor game that developed in France from billiards-related play. A player rolls or shoots balls up a slightly inclined wooden board, using a cue or plunger, and scores by sending them through holes while pins deflect their path. Nineteenth-century versions became domestic and commercial amusements, and the pin-studded playfield, spring launcher, glass cover, and scoring features of later variants helped shape the mechanical pinball machine.
