The Afghan

description The Afghan Overview

The Afghan is a 2006 espionage thriller by British novelist Frederick Forsyth. The plot follows Mike Martin, a former British Army officer and member of the Special Air Service, who is recruited to impersonate an Afghan prisoner and infiltrate an al-Qaeda network. The novel uses this undercover operation to depict intelligence work, counterterrorism planning, and the threat of a large-scale attack in the period after the September 11 attacks.
