The Brethren

description The Brethren Overview

The Brethren is a 2000 legal and political thriller by John Grisham. Three former judges serving sentences in a minimum-security federal prison operate a scheme in which they use personal advertisements to identify and blackmail wealthy closeted men. Their operation unexpectedly intersects with a CIA effort to engineer the election of a presidential candidate, combining Grisham's legal-fiction setting with a national political conspiracy.
