description Tin Bider Overview
Tin Bider is a meteorite impact structure in the Sahara of southern Algeria. It is about six kilometers in diameter and is recognized by a central uplift surrounded by concentric, ring-like geological features produced by the impact. The arid desert setting exposes parts of the structure clearly, allowing field studies of impact deformation, breccia, and the way a crater can be modified after its formation.
