Triacetate

description Triacetate Overview

Triacetate is a manufactured cellulosic fiber produced from cellulose acetate with a higher degree of acetylation than ordinary acetate. The fiber is thermoplastic, can be heat-set, and is valued in clothing for retaining pleats and creases while offering useful wrinkle resistance. It is used in apparel and blended textiles, especially where a smooth drape and more durable shape retention are wanted than untreated cellulose-based fibers provide.
