description Wang Overview

Wang is an American comic opera or operetta with music by Woolson Morse and a libretto by J. Cheever Goodwin. The two-act production is set in Siam, with scenes associated with Pechaburi and Bangkok, and combines operatic writing with elements of burlesque and musical comedy. It opened at the Broadway Theatre in New York on May 4, 1891, ran for 151 performances, and closed on October 3 of the same year.
