WINDSTOPPER is a fabric technology developed by W. L. Gore & Associates for garments intended to protect wearers from wind while allowing water vapor from perspiration to escape. It uses a thin expanded polytetrafluoroethylene membrane incorporated into a textile laminate, making it common in jackets, gloves, hats, and other outdoor clothing.
