X-Men: Evolution

Unlike the 1990s series, "X-Men: Evolution" reimagines the mutants as high school students rather than established adult superheroes. Many of the characters, like Cyclops and Jean Grey, are teenagers dealing with typical adolescent problems alongside their powers. The series focuses heavily on the theme of teenagers trying to fit into a society that fears them.

In this specific animated adaptation, Wolverine was voiced by Scott McNeil, replacing Cathal J. Dodd from the 1990s series. McNeil brought a slightly different, edgier tone to the character suited for the younger demographic. The show's diverse cast also featured actors like Kirby Morrow as Cyclops and Venus Terzo as Jean Grey.

Magneto serves as the primary antagonist, leading his Brotherhood of Mutants, which includes teenage versions of characters like Toad and Avalanche. The series also features Mystique as a key villain who often disguises herself to infiltrate the group. Later seasons introduce major threats like Apocalypse into the show's evolving continuity.

The series aired on the Kids' WB programming block from 2000 to 2003. It ran for four seasons, totaling 52 episodes. The show was produced by Marvel Enterprises and Film Roman before concluding its run.
