Baykar Bayraktar TB2

The Bayraktar TB2 is a Turkish medium-altitude, long-endurance armed unmanned aircraft developed and built by Baykar. It gained international attention through reported combat use in Libya, Nagorno-Karabakh, and Ukraine. Its visibility came from the combination of long-endurance surveillance, remote targeting, and precision weapons rather than from high-speed fighter performance.

Operators control the aircraft through a mobile ground control station rather than from a cockpit inside the airframe. The system combines remote piloting, autonomous flight functions, and electro-optical reconnaissance equipment for surveillance and targeting.

The TB2 is smaller and carries less payload than Baykar's larger Akinci, which is designed for heavier sensors and weapons. The newer TB3 adds features for shipboard operations, including folding wings, while the TB2 is primarily a land-based system.
