Adagio in G Minor

description Adagio in G Minor Overview

Adagio in G minor is a 1958 composition for strings and organ published by the Italian musicologist and composer Remo Giazotto. It became associated with the Venetian Baroque composer Tomaso Albinoni because Giazotto presented it as an elaboration of a supposed fragment of an Albinoni work, but the extent and authenticity of that source remain disputed. The piece is therefore often catalogued or performed under the name Albinoni's Adagio while its modern authorship is attributed to Giazotto.
