Front Pike

description Front Pike Overview

The front pike is a forward-rotating acrobatic position in which the performer keeps the legs straight and bends at the hips to bring the upper body toward the legs. In gymnastics and diving, the pike shape changes the body's distribution during rotation and can help the athlete manage somersault speed. The skill may appear as part of a larger dive, tumble, or aerial sequence rather than as a single fixed routine.
