description Glover Bluff Overview
Glover Bluff, also called the Glover Bluff structure, is a heavily eroded meteorite impact crater in Marquette County, Wisconsin, United States, roughly 6 kilometers in diameter and of Ordovician age, about 450 million years old. The central uplift is exposed in local quarries, where brecciated rocks and shatter cones provide evidence of the impact origin. Much of the original crater has been removed by erosion, so its full extent is reconstructed through geological mapping rather than visible topography.
