Horace Gray was an American jurist who served as an Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court from 1882 until his death in 1902. President Chester A. Arthur appointed him to the Court after Gray had served as a judge in Massachusetts. He wrote the majority opinion in United States v.

Wong Kim Ark, the 1898 decision holding that the Fourteenth Amendment generally grants United States citizenship to people born in the country.
