Mun River

description Mun River Overview

The Mun River is a 673-kilometer river in northeastern Thailand. It rises in Nakhon Ratchasima Province, crosses the Khorat Plateau and several other provinces, and joins the Mekong in Ubon Ratchathani Province near Khong Chiam. As one of the Mekong's principal Thai tributaries, it drains a basin used extensively for agriculture and contains important urban and rural communities.
