description RENFE 269 Overview

RENFE Class 269 is a large family of Bo-Bo electric locomotives built for Spain's 1,668 mm Iberian-gauge network from the 1970s onward. Constructed in Spain by CAF and other manufacturers under Mitsubishi electrical designs, the class works from 3,000-volt direct-current overhead supply. Numerous subseries served both passenger and freight traffic, making the family a long-standing presence across RENFE's conventional electrified network.
