Sao

description Sao Overview

Sao is an extinct genus of small Cambrian trilobites associated with the fossil-bearing rocks of Bohemia. It was described and illustrated in the nineteenth-century work of Joachim Barrande, whose studies of Bohemian Paleozoic fossils helped establish the importance of the region for trilobite research. Sao is chiefly relevant to paleontologists and fossil collectors studying Cambrian trilobite morphology and taxonomy.
