description Teneguía Overview
Teneguía is a volcanic cone on the southern end of La Palma in Spain's Canary Islands, within the Cumbre Vieja volcanic system. It formed during an eruption that began in October 1971 and continued into November, producing lava flows that reached the Atlantic Ocean and created new coastal land. The cone and its dark lava fields remain visible near Fuencaliente and form part of a geologically young volcanic landscape.
